    Disappointing Evening At The LoneStar–Bloomingdale!!

    By The Chef | February 7, 2008

Last night we headed out in the blizzard to a restaurant for my middle son’s 8th birthday. His original choice of “Dad’s Work” was sidetracked when, due to inclement weather, the restaurant closed. So we headed to our second favorite spot of “The LoneStar Steakhouse”! We were one of the very few tables taken in the place, which would make you think our server would be on us like ‘white on rice’–but it was just the opposite. We got hardly any refills, she forgot the bread until the main dishes had arrived, she failed to bring to bring the cinnamon and sugar for my mother in laws sweet potato–it was just a really laborious dinner. I felt bad because in the past this has been our number one destination for birthdays. They are so good about them, but last night we decided to forgo the festivities and have cake at the in laws house. It was kind of a lame evening, and I felt bad for Grayson. His cake was pretty sweet though–take a gander…
