    Sweet Baby Ray!!

    This weeks review is for Sweet Baby Ray’s in Elk Grove, Illinois. We had planned to meet up with some friends for lunch earlier in the afternoon–but like I mentioned in the earlier post, there were some air travel delays, so lunch turned into dinner. Honestly–anytime is a fine time for barbecue!!

    This week is Mardi Gras and on top of all of their amazing menu items you can get some tantalizing items with a “Soul” flavor. From Jumbalaya to a Fried Oyster Po Boy it’s all done with Mardi Gras flair. Check out the Mardi Gras 2008 menu.

    My kids had the standard fare–Mac and Cheese with the fruit cup and Ribs and the fruit cup. You should hear a three year old ask for Ribs–it’s very cute! The Chef and I both had the Top Sirloin. It was wonderful. Probably the most tender steak I’ve had in awhile. Others around the table had the ribs, and I believe I saw a fabulous looking shrimp plate down at the end of the table!     All in all it was a great evening with good friends and good food! How can you ask for more?
