2 Kids Eat Free!!

Did you read that?? That is exactly the reason why I love going to the LoneStar Steakhouse. We went on Tuesday. Why Tuesday? Because Tuesday night you get two kids eating free for every paying adult! So with two adults and four kids, we actually ate cheaper (and better) than we did last Tuesday night when we went to the over priced, under edible food at the Greek diner across the street!
Right now they have a ‘Steak and Shrimp Roundup” going on, and I have to tell you it was yummy! You choose your meat, then your shrimp, and then two sides for $14.99!
Do you see the three little steak medallions with shrimp on top? That is the Garlic Lovers Medallions. This is what both the Chef and I had. We chose the Crispy Fried Shrimp, a dinner salad and he chose the steamed mixed vegetables and I chose the baked potato. It was heaven! It was more food than either of us could eat, but it made for a tasty lunch the next day.
As for my critique…When it says “Garlic Lovers” you better darn well be a garlic lover. The medallions come with spoonfuls of minced garlic on top of them. It is possible to scrape it off the top, which is what I did and added a bit to my baked potato. It was perfect. I would also suggest getting nothing over a medium on your steak. It can get a little tough the longer it’s cooked. Everything really was good–I would like to try one of the other shrimp styles next time, but if we were to go, I would probably get the same choice for everything, but maybe try the Succulent Mesquite Grilled Shrimp. But with me, throwing shrimp onto the plate just makes dinner that much better–it doesn’t matter how you cook it!
If you are looking for a little less expensive place to take the family–think of The LoneStar Steakhouse on a Tuesday night. Honestly–aside from some fast food joint–where can you feed a family of SIX for less than $50.00 with really yummy food?
