Mashed Potatoes!!

I get to make mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I’ve been trying all sorts of new recipes but have decided that I am a “Run Of The Mill” mashed potato lover! In trying the various recipes–I have discovered a couple of things–I LOVE the idea of using chicken bullion in the boiling water while cooking the potatoes, and even bigger–A RICER is the most fabulous kitchen gadget to get rid of all of those nasty lumps!

I first heard of a ricer on my sister in laws blog–and I ran out to find one. One trip to Meijer and $15.00 I had my very own. I simply use a slotted spoon to remove a potato or two from the water and put them into the ricer. Smash away–it comes out the bottom of the ricer like coconut. After you do all of the potatoes, add your butter/cream/milk–and beat with an electric mixer. So smooth, so creamy–HEAVEN!!
