The Man Is Cooking Tonight!!

My husband is making dinner tonight! See–there really was a reason I married a Chef! Actually he cooks at home so rarely that it’s hardly a plus to marry a chef for that matter. In fact, he’s rarely home to do the cooking. He is a work-a-holic on top of a very loyal, ownership feeling restaurant runner! That makes for very early mornings and very late nights.
The other night he was calling on his way home from work, at 10 pm. I got mad at him because he had gone into work by 7:00 am. I said that it was ridiculous and he should have been home hours ago. His thought…he didn’t actually get to work until 7:45 am–so 10 pm is no big deal! Whoopee–45 minutes later–suddenly makes a 15 hour day OK????
I do like it when he cooks though. He can open the fridge or cupboards–and where I see everything I don’t have–he sees a yummy dinner–a couple of different options—to make with just the contents. If you asked me what we could make for dinner, I would have answered soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Instead he came up with a wonderful stir fry chock full of veggies. Good Man!!
