    Tapioca Pudding!!

    The internet ghosts have been out and about again. Either that–Or I’m thinking my 2 year old is to blame! I had my whole post on dessert tonight posted–and when I come back–it’s jibberish!! So lets try this again!!

    For the past month Jake has been asking for Rice Pudding. Now, I do have to admit–I used to enjoy rice pudding, but not so much anymore. It’s very eggy to me, and that is one flavor I’m not a big fan of. Plus living in Japan where rice is not only a staple, but to leave a grain of rice in your bowl after a meal was considered rude (by the people I ate with). The reason (or so they said) Rice is the only thing that sustained life during World War II, after the bombings and for many it is almost sacred. To this day, I eat every grain of rice when I eat it. Plus, I had one sweet lady in Toyota, Japan tell me that the thought of adding milk, sugar and eggs to rice-made her cry! I still remember the cute crying face she pulled when she said it.

    So, long story short!! I opted for Tapioca Pudding. Still down home comfort food–yummy, easy to make-and oh, did I mention–YUMMY!! So I made that up for dessert and let’s just say–the call for Rice Pudding has subsided a bit!
