    Tagged–Different–But Again!!

    By The Chef | May 19, 2007

Nellie over at Me & My Life has tagged me with a new and unusual meme. I am to name five local places that I like to eat. The complete rules:

    1. Link to the name of the person who tagged you.

    2. Include the state and country you’re in.

    3. List your top 5 favorite places to eat at your location (locally).

    4. Tag 5 other people (preferably from other countries/states) and let them know they’ve been tagged.

I’m in Chicago, Illinois–Not really in Chicago–but if you go 5 house north and cross the street-you are in the city of Chicago. My favorite eateries will be tough–I’m married to a Chef-so we eat out a lot!

    1) Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ in Wood Dale and Elk Grove Village. Both are owned by Mr. Sweet Baby Ray himself-and both have absolutely amazing food, and they cater too!

    2) Magnum’s Steakhouse–pricey–but fabulous!

    3) Giordano’s/Pizzeria Uno/Gino’s East/Lou Malnati’s Pizza–yes there are 4 separate and distinct pizzerias, but when you read the history on each of them-they all go back to the original pizza restaurant Pizzeria Uno, and then each of the founding members broke broke off and started their own–bottom line–it’s all the same pizza!

    4) Japan 77–we just went there for the first time for my birthday and it was absolutely yummy!!

    5) Goody’s–it’s a little ‘greasy spoon’ down in the local strip mall, but their skirt steak sandwiches are amazing–and their fried shrimp tops it all!!

I am tagging Pegs, Christine, Savvy Mom and Kelly.

I LOVE Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, you are so lucky to be able to eat at the restaurants! And OMG, Pizzeria Uno! There is no pizza like it. The last time we were in Chicago, we went to eat there, and the wait was like two hours, so they sent us down to another place called Pizzeria Due-same owners, different site, same delicious pizza! I can’t wait to go there this summer again.
